What We Believe

“Nobody ever outgrows Scripture; the book widens and deepens with our years.” -Charles Spurgeon

Core Beliefs

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It is authoritative and applicable to our everyday lives. We only use the King James Bible.

Jesus Christ is to have the preeminence in all things. We believe He is the only one who can reconcile us to God. He was virgin born, lived a sinless life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His eternal victory and to empower us for life this side of eternity. We believe that Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised.

We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives.

We believe in Biblical Salvation. It is comprised of three parts: 1. Justification (commonly referred to as the day of one's salvation or getting saved.), 2. Sanctification (becoming more like Christ and the day to day in's and out's of a believer's life.) and 3. Glorification (When we see Him..."we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is." 1 John 3:2b"
We believe salvation is, "Repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ." Acts 20:21b
We believe salvation is a gift from God and not obtained by works by man.

We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, and all three are one (I John 5:7) who have a dynamic role in all things. He is totally just, wonderfully loving and completely holy.

We believe in the power and significance of the local church and the necessity of believers to meet regularly together. We hold to an independent view of church government - meaning there is no exterior or outside governing body over this church. All major decisions are Pastor led and decided by the congregation's voting members.
